This would be my first real "bike trip" and I was very excited about the ride. When we left our houses it was raining, but that was OK because the weathermen said the skies would clear, and it's not like they're ever wrong. Right? Well, it rained the entire way to Lake George. The next week I bought a quality rain suit.

I highly recommend a desert run to anyone; one tip- make sure your tires are in perfect condition; the weather and the heat wore mine down to cords!!!
