Favorite place to ride: The Lakes Region of New Hampshire
Most memorable bike trip: I had been riding for about 3 months and a couple of friends of mine wanted to ride to Lake George via the Mohawk Trail on Rt. 2. This would be my first real "bike trip" and I was very excited about the ride. When we left our houses it was raining, but that was OK because the weathermen said the skies would clear, and it's not like they're ever wrong. Right? Well, it rained the entire way to Lake George. The next week I bought a quality rain suit.

Favorite place to ride: I always seem to migrate to the water, one of my favorite places to ride is along the South Shore down Jerusalem Rd in Cohasset onto the Scituate Cliffs and Harbor, Marshfield Hills into Bryantville and Green Harbor. We continue to Duxbury down by Powder Point Bridge to Kingston and end at Plymouth Harbor. Beautiful views and an Awesome ride.
Most memorable bike trip: Our annual pilgrimage to Americade, we head north to southern NH and wind west into VT and catch RT 100 N, in my opinion one of the most scenic picturesque roads in the North East. We follow that to Burlington and then follow RT 2 over to Grand Isle sitting right in the middle of Lake Champlain, absolutely beautiful. We then pop back over to the VT side of the lake North to Pointe Rouge at the US/Canadian border, cross the bridge into upstate NY and then it's South along the NY side of Lake Champlain. Following RT 9 South into Plattsburgh and on into Ticonderoga. It's then time to circle Lake George via RT 9 and ultimately on to the Rally. I can't tell you how much I look forward to those 3 or 4 days every year.

Favorite place to ride: Route 100 in Vermont is great!
Most memorable bike trip: This past year (2011) myself and 6 other riders took a weeks trip to the Gaspe Peninsula. I was expecting that it would be a road ride, but once up there the group decided to try a dirt road to a town called Murdochville. First, we couldn't find the road- then when we asked for directions, a local couple warned us that the road wasn't doable. When we finally did get in, the road was more like an ATV trail. After riding most of that day, over some really gnarly terrain, we came to a big washout which lead to a bridge that had been washed away. Roping the bikes down the bank was the only way forward that we could see. The group assembled to try to figure out what to do as the rain began to fall. After seeing no other vehicle all day, we heard an engine- and up the washout came a quad. We knew very little French and he knew very little English but he told us that he had a camp nearby and would we want to stay there? He led us to his place and then went and got us water, then left us. It was a fantastic night in the middle of the Canadian woods---
The ride out the next day was another story...

Most memorable bike trip: My first trip to Laconia with my buddies was pretty unforgettable. After getting a late start in the morning it took us an hour and half to ride the last 2 miles into town, the traffic was unbelievable. It was 90 degrees and felt like 200 under leathers and sitting on our bikes. Everyone's bikes were overheating and most people were just pushing their bikes into town with the ignition off b/c of the slow rate of travel. I'm glad my Triumph was liquid cooled that day!
